Who is AMKA?

AMKA imports a wide selection of quality wines and spirits from around the world. The company was founded in 1978 in Denmark by Anna Marie Søndergaard who started importing wines as a hobby.

She named the company AMKA, which is the combination of her initials and the first two letters in her husband's name, Karsten Søndergaard.

From 1980, both Anna Marie and Karsten were employed full-time in AMKA, and in 1992 their son Frank joined the management.

Today, AMKA is represented in the following 11 countries: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Portugal and Germany.
